We booked Burns night, for a table of Four. On walking in to the bar were greeted by the staff, and we were showed to our table in the refurbished Bar restaurant. The table was laid out very nicely with cutlery and cotton napkins. We were served with our drinks soon after we sat down. Shortly after our first course was served, followed by the main and sweet, and also a wee dram of single malt whisky. The food was excellent and was very tasty, enjoyed by everyone. All of the staff serving us were very polite and happy to attend all our requests. This was an excellent Burns night and we have no hesitation in booking again for Burns night and we will definitely be visiting the Forest Hill in the near future.

After hitting balls on the driving range we went for a drink into the bar.
We didn't intend to have dinner but after seeing other diners with their delicious food we decided to have Sunday lunch.
Oh my goodness how delicious was it, perfectly cooked, tender & hot.
The pudding was to die for, the service & staff were stunning, very attentive, caring & friendly.
Highly recommend & Dev the manager.

Afternoon Tea. Today we had a beautiful Afternoon Tea for 8 of family & friends. Table and setting was beautiful, I didn't get her name but the lovely lady who looked after us was so caring, nothing was any trouble and kept us topped up with plenty of tea and coffee.
The food was yummy and plenty of it. We were asked if we needed anything lots of times. The Golf Club looks amazing what they have done. Highly recommend to anyone.

Very pleasant restaurant , well turned out , friendly & polite staff and tremendous food .
My husband reports it was the best beef he has had in a long time , veg were cooked perfectly and def add the cauliflower bake as it was delicious
We all really enjoyed our sweets too.
A hidden gem and we will be back for sure.

We went with our daughter who is an ambulatory wheelchair user. The course was inaccessible for her wheelchair. As she can walk short distances she tried to play- the course undulates- there’s no flat path, there’s no where to sit and rest while the rest of the family took their shots. There’s a steep bridge in the middle that was really slippy too.
The rest of the club was accessible, so I asked staff why the child-focussed area wasn’t. I’m not sure the staff member understood my point, as he implied that disabled kids wouldn’t want to play adventure golf….! It’s a shame as it’s brand new and lovely that accessibility wasn’t thought about a bit more.

Well, the first time for me for a while under the new owners…..what an amazing choice of well cooked, great value food! Lewis our server was polite, attentive and very efficient. The Market Bosworth Walking Group thoroughly enjoyed their Christmas Lunch. The room was set out well for a group of 38. The food choice was good and the food well presented and very tasty. We visited Forest Hill Golf Club for a Sunday roast and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The staff were amazingly friendly from the moment we arrived, and the service throughout was outstanding. The food was excellent — perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and honestly one of the best Sunday roasts we’ve had in a long time.
The venue itself is beautiful and really well kept, making the whole visit feel special. After our meal, we explored the golf facilities, and the mini golf range was fantastic. We had so much fun and it added the perfect finishing touch to our day.

Visited today and had the gammon steak with chips and beans — really tasty, generous portion and cooked perfectly. We booked the diamond suite £30.00 and couldn’t use the driver as no tees for the mats . So what a waste as this was the club I am having problems with. When I told the girl at the desk she said yes a lot of people are saying that !!!!!! I probably spend £200.00 per week there on the range and restaurant. Shocking . Oh and you can only use 50 percent of the balls in each basket as they are now so bad .

Visited the range 22.09.25 for the first time and when arrived was greeted by two staff members who were not very welcoming / friendly at all. Just say it’s this amount for the charges and which area / bay range. During the time there they had menus on the table and also do Indian food curry nights not sure if this is proper Indian and just taken from frozen food pre cooked and they just put it in a microwave? Also during the time one staff member came round to say your time is up and paid for an extra 3O minutes. One would have thought so they would do a discount during the week? Or school age discount ?
Food is expensive having browsing the menu charges. There is are no heaters I could see and one would think it must get cold during the winter months.

A great course with some challenging holes! Me and my mate played in the evening and the price was beyond fair. Tee boxes need some work, but the fairways and greens were in solid condition, very playable! The course is starting to return to its previous glory post the irrigation challenges, the greens improve weekly, the owners take time to discuss with members and visitors so that they are aware of the improvements made and the continual investment they are making into both the golf course and the facilities on site the whole complex is continuing to develop to a high standard and the level of investment is clear for all to see as well as the high standards of finish, you can see this will be one of the best leisure facilities and golf complexs in the area.

Im giving this review due to the high level of effort out in by the management at forest hill who have recently over came alot of bad luck with course maintenance equipment failing, course is now in an incredible condition, Sim suites look top notch, bar staff are really friendly and the food is great, only negative I can think of currently is that the marshalls can be pretty rude to members/visitors, hope this can change 😊

2. The mains were Seafood pasta and Sea bass. I particularly like pasta that isn't just Penne (nothing wrong with penne, but sometimes you just need something other). This was really very tasty and in my opinion very good value for money. The sea bass was (I'm told) also very tasty, although the skin could have been crispier.
3. The deserts were just the end to what had become a very enjoyable early evening out.
I conclusion; I can thoroughly recommend this place to anyone who may be considering places for an afternoon/evening meal. We will certainly be going back very soon.

Played the course today , absolutely awful worst course I’ve played this year . I agree with other reviews greens are terrible bunkers very little sand , below standard tee boxes . On past reviews I have noticed the same response from the club , but you said there was going to be a complete refurb of the course in a month but no sign of this . A superb clubhouse but I don’t play golf in the club house . £40 a round does not reflect the standard of the course 4 of us played the course . All was disappointed.

Course is in a very sad state across all areas. Played here a few times, and enjoyed so was looking forward to it, but now greens very poor and uneven (patchy grass untrue putts), tee boxes patchy grass and uneven, fairways some areas random uncut patches, full of weeds and bunkers which haven't been raked in a week so solid as a rock. Lots of focus on peripheral stuff - bridges, clubhouse etc, but taken their eye off the main attraction of a golf course.

Lots of blokes trying to install screens etc …but no tracking .
Went back a week later and it was all installed but the system was all over the place .200 yard shots tracking at 110 yards . 50 yard chips 95 yards and goodness me it was so slow … so not good .I gave it a few weeks thinking it’s just needs to be set up correctly. Nipped down on Sunday and I’m afraid it’s still the same .
Honestly think they would be better off just removing it if this is as good as it gets.

Myself and a friend played this course yesterday (10/06/2025) to assess it with regards joining it as members. It has great potential, is set in some lovely landscape (hence the two stars) and could be a gem if they get their greens sorted out. However, what really spoilt our visit was the aggressive, unfriendly and officious 'Marshal' dressed in high-viz who was patrolling the 9th/18th greens on a buggy . He approached us and proceeded to inspect our golf attire closely, telling me that my socks were the wrong colour (black rather than white) and that my shirt wasn't tucked in enough to my shorts. He then departed on his buggy with the comment that he'd let us off this time, but that we'd be thrown off the course next time - I've never experienced anything like it in many years of golf! Given that I couldn't find anything on the club's web site that mentions dress code, and that his aggressive manner was really unpleasant, I won't be returning to Forest Hills.

2 years ago, this was a great course and club for the price it used to be. It was never top tier, but was affordable. That has changed so much for the worse now. The value is appalling for what members and guests are expected to pay. Play more golf costs nearly doubled the other month without any improvements prior or since. The money clearly isn't invested into the course, but other ventures instead. It is insulting that members are asked to supply funding for critical repairs and maintenance of the course. Part of me is sad to have now left, but am pleased to be in a club that actually values its members and takes pride in its conditions for the same price. I feel sorry for the staff and club committee trying to do well within their power.

A friend is looking to join a club near Leicester so we played this course yesterday 15/5/25. Greens and tees are in awful condition and the greens are really unplayable. Balls bounce all over and hardly any grass as can be seen in the photos. Bunkers were solid or very little sand and some had so much weed in I was glad not to be in them. £35 visitors fee wasted. On the 18th hole there must have been at least 100 driving range balls scattered along the right hand side of the fairway. Made finding my friends ball that was in the right hand light rough impossible. I hit a corker second shot from 255yards to the green area. When I got to the green there were about 30 balls from the driving range surrounding the green. It was like playing a fair ground game trying to find my ball. Eventually discovered it in the front right bunker with 6 driving range balls. Summary is in my opinion this course is not playable. Don’t waste your money.

Played this course today. We were looking forward to it as it had good reviews. What a disappointment!!! Other than the fairways, it doesn't look like the course had been taken care of. The tee boxes were rough and no grass. The greens were the worst I've ever seen. I don't think they have ever seen water!!! I wouldn't play again even if it was free.

Really enjoyed my dinner tonight at Forest Hill and lovely round of golf I thoroughly enjoyed my bag and sweet potato chips highly recommended thanks team for smashing it

Since new management the food has been superb. Have dined on several occasions now. I can recommend the chicken on mash potato, the lasagne, the chicken tikka, etc.. The service led by Dev is so professional. Definitely worth a visit.

Had an hour in the driving range which was reasonably priced then went over to the restaurant and had a fabulous meal. 4 of us sampled lots of different dishes and all were great, fab presentation too. Dev the manager was on hand all the time, very attentive. Will visit again.

Dev is a good bloke… pours a decent Guinness. One of his great skills which became apparent, was to change a barrel of Guinness within 7 Minutes and 14 Seconds!. The only downfall is the lack of bar stools.

I came for lunch with a party of friends and have to say the food was hot and well presented. The wild Mushroom soup and Tikka Masala was superb and very tasty. A pity I didn’t have room for dessert. A really lovely experience and one I will be repeating in the near future.

Five of us visited today for mothers day, from the minute that we walked in the door to the moment that we left everything was perfect. Brilliant food, brilliant staff and fantastic service in spotless surroundings. Excellent value for money, we will certainly be back soon. Thank you to Dev and all the team.

The food was outstanding, the environment beautiful and the whole staff team were so attentive. They couldn’t do enough for us and made the whole experience amazing! Well done to the team and see you all again very soon.

One of the best driving ranges around- completely destroyed with the decision to change from TopTracer to Trackman, yes nice big screens, but less options on the system. Less virtual courses, VERY slow. Lagging, and not accurate. Example, when hitting the 41 yard flags, it flagged up as 22yards. Completely let down.

This place is amazing we had the most delicious Sunday Roast here which was cooked to perfection and was a treat. The service was excellent - special shout out to our service manager Dev Patel he was courteous, professional and very polite.
Our food came pipping hot fresh from the kitchen and you could really tell that that quality of the produce was locally sourced and fresh. I had the chicken and belly pork which was moist and literally melted in your mouth. We ordered extra cauliflower and cheese on the side which added to the already mountain of sides you get with the roast perfectly. Best Sunday Roast in Leicestershire hands down!

I'm a member here. I joined firstly because I started coming to the range. Ended up getting a lesson and then played the coursea couple of times. The course, at times, esp off seasons, could be in better condition but this summer it has honestly been amazing. I really enjoy it. It's challenging but not so much you regret turning up when you're not having a good day. The back 9 is really fun.
The food in the bar isn't great. Never tried the restaurant? Seating area round the back next to 9/18 holes is great place to relax before or after a round.

The most beautiful spacious restaurant with incredible views of the golf course. The staff were amazing, so welcoming. The food was fabulous especially the cauliflower cheese with mustard seeds. We will very much be back again. Thank you.

The new driving range is very good. Much nicer than before with lots of space for groups behind each bay. The end bays 16-19 do not have Toptracer, however the earlier numbered bays do. What makes up for it though is that these later bays have additional seating, so great to bring families along.
The Diamond suite looks nice, being enclosed, so good for those who want some privacy from the masses, while the Platinum is the top level offering, with putting and a sofa.
Would be nice if all bays had Toptracer, and the range seems shorter than it used to be, however the facility itself is now top notch and a couple of steps above most driving range 'sheds'.

Been playing here for about a year now and the transformation from last year is outstanding. The course is beautiful now.
