I organised a group of 15 ladies to come to Forest Hill as I have been a few times and it has always been good. But yesterday I personally was disappointed with the beef. It was generally very pink and tough to cut (although fatty in other parts!) No one complained but I could see people struggling to cut the beef. However overall the experience was good and the staff were so accommodating as per usual. To be completely honest I would have the chicken next time which everyone said was lovely!

Popped in for a quick 9 holes as we were in the area for a training course. We were able to get a round as visitors and were met with pleasant polite staff in the pro shop. We were served quickly and were able to get out on the course. The course is in really good condition given the harsh sunshine of late. We found the course enjoyable and we would welcome another round in the future. I would very much recommend having a short game or full round at Forest Hill.

Starter - chicken wings was good. Main meal - coconut Chicken was terrible, hardly any meat and very watery. Lamb dish had hardly any meat and very bland. Drinks service was good. Overall, we were very disappointed and not worth the money we paid.

We’ve just been to the Anaconda Falls crazy golf. It was £10 for an adult which is quite high I think. The external decorations were good but the holes weren’t particularly interesting although there were a few good ones. It was ok but I don’t think we’ll be back.

My opinion is management have made error in charging membership fees well above the quality of the course which will cost many members leaving building a hotel there will be another grave error will not work that's my opinion played hundreds of course all over uk and sorry to say its not great course out of 10 maybe 3 somebody must have High opinion of it not sure what he's or she looking at really in the winter it's so boggy need waders in the summer it's Rock hard poor course administration this is the end result surprise surprise

We visited the mini golf, we had a great time. It’s very fun, very well maintained and lots for the kids to look at. We would definitely visit again. Billy in the Kiosk is great, friendly, polite and will take his time to talk you after the game ensuring we had a good time and made the effort to engage with the kids. We then visited the restaurant after, the lady serving was lovely and the prices are very good 🙂 I expected them to be pricey with it being a golf club but they were in fact very reasonable and if not cheaper than other local cafes offering the same thing 🙂

We had our son’s 5th birthday party at Anaconda Falls at Forest Hill Golf Club for 28 kids and couldn’t recommend it highly enough! A massive thank you to Dev and the whole team who were absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Everything was organised for us, from the mini golf to the food and drinks, and nothing was ever too much trouble. The crazy golf is great! The children loved it and the manager Dev was very helpful. We were given a voucher for the club house so we went in and bought drinks. The staff were very friendly and spent time talking to the children while helping them to choose their drinks.

Hadn't visited for a while and it has changed a lot and I think It looks great. Service was fab. Food was delicious. The mocktail that was made for me was delicious. I'm very ashamed to say I hadn't visited since my wedding day in 2019! The adventure golf is a nice touch too. Will be coming again and bringing more family, it won't be too long this time! now before i start with the negatives, i’d like to praise the golf club for a few things. the food in the restaurant is brilliant, well priced, good service & good quality. likewise is the driving range, well priced, lots of bays available the majority of the time alongside their trackman technology, it’s probably one of the best driving range’s within leicestershire. the same goes for the golf sim rooms, gym & crazy golf, it’s all brilliant… apart from the course. i’d like to start by saying i am a current member at forest hill golf club, so this review isn’t from someone who’s played the course once or twice, i’ve played here 50+ times within the last year. i joined the club last year after regaining my love for golf after playing as a kid (at forest hill 2009-2011) as it is such a convenient course for me to play after work & on weekends as it’s a couple of minutes away. i played the course plenty of times before getting a membership and also read the reviews online. despite numerous negative reviews, i decided to give it a chance, based on their responses to the reviews; the excuse for the poor conditions of the course last year were “we suffered a complete failure of the course irrigation system. The water tank exploded and completely disintegrated” to which they stated they’d ordered a new one and the course will undergo a ‘full refurbishment plan’, including tee boxes, greens & fairways. i will attach a photo to this review from my round today (over a year later from their response) of the tee box on the first hole. they also stated “We are also undertaking a full refurbishment of the bunkers” to which there are still a year later, bricks in bunkers, water pipes sticking out of the ground making them complete unplayable, and to top it off, they’re not even GUR! i could go on for a few hundred more words, however i write this review, not to be malicious but to be informative. if you are looking for a golf course to play or even be a member at, i would highly advise you look elsewhere. there are plenty of courses local to forest hill which are not also better, but cheaper or atleast better value for money.

We recently held our Golden Wedding here and the service and food were second to none. Every effort was made to accommodate our needs. All our guests commented on how lovely the venue is especially with the views over the golf course. My husband played the course the week before with some from friends and they thoroughly enjoyed it. The course was well maintained and a joy to play. They will be coming back

First time we've been in for lunch. Friendly, polite, smiley staff, lovely and welcoming, even though we'd just finished a walk and we were in our scruffs! We each had a 'small plate'....plenty enough! Freshly prepared and very tasty. Only reason we didn't give 5 stars is because the benches outside didnt have cushions, but actually Im sure if we had asked the staff would've found us some....they are that kind of people's. We'll be back!!

Anaconda Falls Mini Golf Fun course, well maintained and still quite new so in great condition. Jungle safari themed with some really novel holes. Only one, tiny criticism: some of the hole's cups were holding a fair bit of muddy water so the balls got wet and dirty. Not a big thing but they could do with drilling them deeper, so that they drain better, perhaps. Well worth a visit, though. 👍🏻

We went for Sunday dinner today for the first time. Food was fantastic, very tasty. Portion sizes are good. Service was very friendly and they could not do anymore to make you feel welcome and help all customers. Pricing is very reasonable. The only thing that could be slightly improved were the roast potatoes would have been nicer if they had been fluffed before cooking to make them crispier, but they were still very nice. We will definitely be back.

Driving range has gone very downhill A lot of balls on the range are borderline unusable The trackman system they now use is terrible So many times it doesn't pick up shots you've hit or is wildly inaccurate Apparently I can hit a pitching wedge 200 yards then hit the back fence but the system thinks it only went 120 yards The food has also become terrible The pizza I had today wouldn't have been out of place in primary school Bland no flavour and hard crust Really is a shame because the food a couple of years ago was really good and genuinely tasty The new owners seem to have ruined the place...the overhead screens are gone Such a shame

First time visiting the restaurant for my mums 89th birthday. I only give reviews if I honestly think I got more than I expected and we certainly did. We had the Sunday lunch and the food was exceptional for the price, the beef just melted in your mouth, I've eaten at high end restaurants where the meat wasnt cooked that well. My mum, who is of an age where she finds fault with most things, said the chicken was delicious. Despite feeling full I was persuaded to have a dessert and again that didnt disappoint. Portion sizes very generous. What really was the icing on the cake was the fantastic service, the manager came to check we were happy with everything and couldn't do enough for us. He is clearly very proud of the restaurant and the whole complex, explaining all the new facilities being planned. Can't believe this is almost on our doorstep yet we've never been, we will definitely be going again soon.

The indoor simulators are fantastic with great ball tracking, and the 18-hole crazy golf is excellent. Although there was no one to greet us when we got there, we were made to feel very welcome once a member of staff arrived. All members of staff made us feel like we had made the right choice for our Saturday Lunch. The food was great and we had a lovely view onto the golf course. I would certainly book again. They also have a curry night and a fish and chips night.

Never been before, first time with a friend visiting the Kingfisher restaurant. Very accomodating, attentive and friendly staff. Food is homemade and very well presented and tasty. Highly recommend the cheesecake, best I've ever tasted! Would visit again to try the Sunday roast dinner

Family of four for a Mother’s Day meal. Sent into the back room with the doors closed away from the rest of the resteraunt, ordered meals for 2 adults and 2 children which the server got wrong twice and was corrected. He did not take any notes. The order came wrong, they tried to convince me to pay for the extra prawn cocktail and take it home instead of admitting fault. We had to get up and actively go and find someone to make sure they sent the chips they had clearly forgotten too aswell as basic things like salt and pepper for the table. The food itself was very bland, tasteless and below average. I had a chicken Caesar salad which was very bland. My partner had the three meats Sunday roast, barely enough gravy, very obviously microwaved nothing seemed fresh. The worst meals being the kids meals. Prawn cocktail, came with tough bread with no butter and prawns that tasted tough and again very bland. The pork belly roast dinner for my youngest son was also below average. Barely any gravy, seemed microwaved and poor quality. Asked for more gravy which they brought to the table, but this was watery and tasteless. After being asked if things were ok by another server, I was honest and said it was all very below average, along with the service. They offered ice cream for my children who didn’t want ice cream. Nothing else was offered. Nothing else said, no apologies. To top it all off both my kids had hideous diarrhoea shortly after eating there! Awful experience, ruined my Mother’s Day for the priveledge of £70! Will never eat there again.

We booked Burns night, for a table of Four. On walking in to the bar were greeted by the staff, and we were showed to our table in the refurbished Bar restaurant. The table was laid out very nicely with cutlery and cotton napkins. We were served with our drinks soon after we sat down. Shortly after our first course was served, followed by the main and sweet, and also a wee dram of single malt whisky. The food was excellent and was very tasty, enjoyed by everyone. All of the staff serving us were very polite and happy to attend all our requests. This was an excellent Burns night and we have no hesitation in booking again for Burns night and we will definitely be visiting the Forest Hill in the near future.

After hitting balls on the driving range we went for a drink into the bar. We didn't intend to have dinner but after seeing other diners with their delicious food we decided to have Sunday lunch. Afternoon Tea. Today we had a beautiful Afternoon Tea for 8 of family & friends. Table and setting was beautiful, I didn't get her name but the lovely lady who looked after us was so caring, nothing was any trouble and kept us topped up with plenty of tea and coffee. The food was yummy and plenty of it. We were asked if we needed anything lots of times. The Golf Club looks amazing what they have done. Highly recommend to anyone.

What a fabulous Sunday lunch ! Very pleasant restaurant , well turned out , friendly & polite staff and tremendous food . My husband reports it was the best beef he has had in a long time , veg were cooked perfectly and def add the cauliflower bake as it was delicious We all really enjoyed our sweets too. A hidden gem and we will be back for sure. Weekday menus look good as well

We went with our daughter who is an ambulatory wheelchair user. The course was inaccessible for her wheelchair. As she can walk short distances she tried to play- the course undulates- there’s no flat path, there’s no where to sit and rest while the rest of the family took their shots. There’s a steep bridge in the middle that was really slippy too. The rest of the club was accessible, so I asked staff why the child-focussed area wasn’t. I’m not sure the staff member understood my point, as he implied that disabled kids wouldn’t want to play adventure golf….! It’s a shame as it’s brand new and lovely that accessibility wasn’t thought about a bit more.

Lovely day at the club enjoying our Christmas dinner woth ouf boy Neil 11th December 2025. Our Sunday lunch was very tasty. I had roast chicken breast and Dave had the beef with all the trimmings. We visited Forest Hill Golf Club for a Sunday roast and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The staff were amazingly friendly from the moment we arrived, and the service throughout was outstanding. The food was excellent — perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and honestly one of the best Sunday roasts we’ve had in a long time. The venue itself is beautiful and really well kept, making the whole visit feel special. After our meal, we explored the golf facilities, and the mini golf range was fantastic. We had so much fun and it added the perfect finishing touch to our day. Highly recommend Forest Hill Golf Club for great food, great service, and a great time!

We booked the diamond suite £30.00 and couldn’t use the driver as no tees for the mats . So what a waste as this was the club I am having problems with. When I told the girl at the desk she said yes a lot of people are saying that !!!!!! I probably spend £200.00 per week there on the range and restaurant. Shocking . Oh and you can only use 50 percent of the balls in each basket as they are now so bad .

Had great fun at the new Anaconda Crazy Golf ⛳️ Will definitely come back with friends and family. Also had a lovely lunch in the restaurant and was pleasantly suprised at how many options the chef made available even with my gluten and dairy allergy. Visited the range 22.09.25 for the first time and when arrived was greeted by two staff members who were not very welcoming / friendly at all. Just say it’s this amount for the charges and which area / bay range. During the time there they had menus on the table and also do Indian food curry nights not sure if this is proper Indian and just taken from frozen food pre cooked and they just put it in a microwave? Also during the time one staff member came round to say your time is up and paid for an extra 3O minutes. One would have thought so they would do a discount during the week? Or school age discount ? Food is expensive having browsing the menu charges. There is are no heaters I could see and one would think it must get cold during the winter months.

A great course with some challenging holes! Me and my mate played in the evening and the price was beyond fair. Tee boxes need some work, but the fairways and greens were in solid condition, very playable! Staff are very friendly especially Dev who met us after our round and gave us a complimentary drink for being fine guests!

The course is starting to return to its previous glory post the irrigation challenges, the greens improve weekly, the owners take time to discuss with members and visitors so that they are aware of the improvements made and the continual investment they are making into both the golf course and the facilities on site the whole complex is continuing to develop to a high standard and the level of investment is clear for all to see as well as the high standards of finish, you can see this will be one of the best leisure facilities and golf complexs in the area. The course itself is very well laid out and every whole is unique and different, the improvement post the challenges they've faced is phonemenol and the level of drive to improve the course and facilities is exceptional Restaurants is really good and bar area has been modernised to exceptional standards with very friendly staff who makes you welcome

Im giving this review due to the high level of effort out in by the management at forest hill who have recently over came alot of bad luck with course maintenance equipment failing, course is now in an incredible condition, Sim suites look top notch, bar staff are really friendly and the food is great, only negative I can think of currently is that the marshalls can be pretty rude to members/visitors, hope this can change 😊

My wife and myself went here for a meal on Friday 8th August. We had previously called in for a drink about a week prior to this visit, and we very impressed with how the place looked and felt so hence the meal. 1. We decided to share a starter, as we don't usually go out intending on having three courses, which we didn't tonight, but failed on that score. 2. The mains were Seafood pasta and Sea bass. I particularly like pasta that isn't just Penne (nothing wrong with penne, but sometimes you just need something other). This was really very tasty and in my opinion very good value for money. The sea bass was (I'm told) also very tasty, although the skin could have been crispier. 3. The deserts were just the end to what had become a very enjoyable early evening out. I conclusion; I can thoroughly recommend this place to anyone who may be considering places for an afternoon/evening meal. We will certainly be going back very soon.

STAY AWAY. what a joke, course in terrible condition, my lawn at home is better than the greens here. Played on a very hot Sunday morning, no cold drinks available! It was an insult when a course Marshall asked me to tuck my shirt in! I may as well have spent the £40 elsewhere. At best a round is worth £12.50. Will be speaking with England golf about my experience.

Played the course today , absolutely awful worst course I’ve played this year . I agree with other reviews greens are terrible bunkers very little sand , below standard tee boxes . On past reviews I have noticed the same response from the club , but you said there was going to be a complete refurb of the course in a month but no sign of this . A superb clubhouse but I don’t play golf in the club house . £40 a round does not reflect the standard of the course 4 of us played the course . All was disappointed.

Course is in a very sad state across all areas. Played here a few times, and enjoyed so was looking forward to it, but now greens very poor and uneven (patchy grass untrue putts), tee boxes patchy grass and uneven, fairways some areas random uncut patches, full of weeds and bunkers which haven't been raked in a week so solid as a rock. Lots of focus on peripheral stuff - bridges, clubhouse etc, but taken their eye off the main attraction of a golf course.

Son paid for twilight round for Father’s Day and felt bad saying I didn’t want to play any further after 9 , to be honest wanted to leave after 3rd . Course needs a good cut and water . Greens have been scalped and left so fluffy and bald no way to read puts . Won’t be returning

Unfortunately the poor condition of the corse is common knowledge at the moment which is a shame but the range has always been excellent. I visited the range a few weeks back and there was no tracking system as they were switching to Trackman. Lots of blokes trying to install screens etc …but no tracking . Went back a week later and it was all installed but the system was all over the place .200 yard shots tracking at 110 yards . 50 yard chips 95 yards and goodness me it was so slow … so not good .I gave it a few weeks thinking it’s just needs to be set up correctly. Nipped down on Sunday and I’m afraid it’s still the same . Honestly think they would be better off just removing it if this is as good as it gets.

Myself and a friend played this course yesterday (10/06/2025) to assess it with regards joining it as members. It has great potential, is set in some lovely landscape (hence the two stars) and could be a gem if they get their greens sorted out. However, what really spoilt our visit was the aggressive, unfriendly and officious 'Marshal' dressed in high-viz who was patrolling the 9th/18th greens on a buggy . He approached us and proceeded to inspect our golf attire closely, telling me that my socks were the wrong colour (black rather than white) and that my shirt wasn't tucked in enough to my shorts. He then departed on his buggy with the comment that he'd let us off this time, but that we'd be thrown off the course next time - I've never experienced anything like it in many years of golf! Given that I couldn't find anything on the club's web site that mentions dress code, and that his aggressive manner was really unpleasant, I won't be returning to Forest Hills.

The course is in pretty poor condition overall. Tee boxes are long grass and not very level. Bunkers sand is solid and the greens are very poor overall. Not worth the green fee. Club house, staff and food are pretty good though. Few decent beers on tap.

Been going to this range for a few years now. Had no issues with it, staff are always friendly, perfect facility to practice at during the winter months. Even the food is decent. However a few months back they decided to "upgrade" the range tracking system. They had been using top tracer, which was working well and had lots of fun games. They now have trackman tech installed on all the bays, and it must go down as the worst business decision of all time. All the ranges are off by some way. The system lags and is slow, and crashes a couple of times every visit. The range is no where near as busy as it was so they must be feeling now as it's hitting their pockets. It's a shame but unless they sort it out I can't see the place being open in 12 months.

2 years ago, this was a great course and club for the price it used to be. It was never top tier, but was affordable. That has changed so much for the worse now. The value is appalling for what members and guests are expected to pay. Play more golf costs nearly doubled the other month without any improvements prior or since. The money clearly isn't invested into the course, but other ventures instead. It is insulting that members are asked to supply funding for critical repairs and maintenance of the course. Part of me is sad to have now left, but am pleased to be in a club that actually values its members and takes pride in its conditions for the same price. I feel sorry for the staff and club committee trying to do well within their power.

17th May 2025 - no grass on the greens!! Wish I'd seen the review directly before mine - absolutely shocking greens. Dry as a bone. Unreadable. Really took the enjoyment out of the day. £40 for that is a joke. Course is actually quite good - a very long par 3 and lots of par 5s. Some water in play (extremely gross, brown and stagnant) though beware - the range only opens at 10am. Enjoy the brick in the bunker as well.

A friend is looking to join a club near Leicester so we played this course yesterday 15/5/25. Greens and tees are in awful condition and the greens are really unplayable. Balls bounce all over and hardly any grass as can be seen in the photos. Bunkers were solid or very little sand and some had so much weed in I was glad not to be in them. £35 visitors fee wasted. On the 18th hole there must have been at least 100 driving range balls scattered along the right hand side of the fairway. Made finding my friends ball that was in the right hand light rough impossible. I hit a corker second shot from 255yards to the green area. When I got to the green there were about 30 balls from the driving range surrounding the green. It was like playing a fair ground game trying to find my ball. Eventually discovered it in the front right bunker with 6 driving range balls. Summary is in my opinion this course is not playable. Don’t waste your money.

Played this course today. We were looking forward to it as it had good reviews. What a disappointment!!! Other than the fairways, it doesn't look like the course had been taken care of. The tee boxes were rough and no grass. The greens were the worst I've ever seen. I don't think they have ever seen water!!! I wouldn't play again even if it was free.

One of the best driving ranges around- completely destroyed with the decision to change from TopTracer to Trackman, yes nice big screens, but less options on the system. Less virtual courses, VERY slow. Lagging, and not accurate. Example, when hitting the 41 yard flags, it flagged up as 22yards. Completely let down.

This place is amazing we had the most delicious Sunday Roast here which was cooked to perfection and was a treat. The service was excellent - special shout out to our service manager Dev Patel he was courteous, professional and very polite. Our food came pipping hot fresh from the kitchen and you could really tell that that quality of the produce was locally sourced and fresh. I had the chicken and belly pork which was moist and literally melted in your mouth. We ordered extra cauliflower and cheese on the side which added to the already mountain of sides you get with the roast perfectly. Best Sunday Roast in Leicestershire hands down! Can’t wait for next Sunday!!

I'm a member here. I joined firstly because I started coming to the range. Ended up getting a lesson and then played the coursea couple of times. The course, at times, esp off seasons, could be in better condition but this summer it has honestly been amazing. I really enjoy it. It's challenging but not so much you regret turning up when you're not having a good day. The back 9 is really fun. The food in the bar isn't great. Never tried the restaurant? Seating area round the back next to 9/18 holes is great place to relax before or after a round.

The most beautiful spacious restaurant with incredible views of the golf course. The staff were amazing, so welcoming. The food was fabulous especially the cauliflower cheese with mustard seeds. We will very much be back again. Thank you.

The new driving range is very good. Much nicer than before with lots of space for groups behind each bay. The end bays 16-19 do not have Toptracer, however the earlier numbered bays do. What makes up for it though is that these later bays have additional seating, so great to bring families along. The Diamond suite looks nice, being enclosed, so good for those who want some privacy from the masses, while the Platinum is the top level offering, with putting and a sofa. Would be nice if all bays had Toptracer, and the range seems shorter than it used to be, however the facility itself is now top notch and a couple of steps above most driving range 'sheds'.

Been playing here for about a year now and the transformation from last year is outstanding. The course is beautiful now. The new management really have put the work in to make it a great place to play.
